Sutter County Sheriff Announces New Press Information Officer (PIO)
TEXT:
Sutter County Sheriff J. Paul Parker announced a change in the release of
press information concerning the Sheriff’s Department. Sheriff Parker has
announced that the duties will be assigned to Sheriff’s Secretary Brenda
Baker, a 24 year veteran member of the department. Currently the Sheriff’s
Secretary, Mrs. Baker has held that position under the leadership of
three current or retired Sheriff’s.
Mrs. Baker will be responsible for the daily release of media information to
both local and regional news agencies. Mrs. Baker recently completed a three
week course on “Crisis and the Media”, sponsored by the Office of Emergency
Services and held at the California Specialized Training Institute in San
Luis Obispo, CA.
Mrs. Baker lives in Yuba City with her husband Dan. She has two children and
eight grandchildren.
