FRAUD ALERT - Internet email banking scam
TEXT:
An fictitious email is being sent out advising Sierra Central Credit Union debit card
holders that their debit card has been temporary suspended due to a security enhancement.
According to this fictitious email, because of the security upgraded, debit card holders
need to telephone a number specific number.
The Sutter County detective division has confirmed with Sierra Credit Union that the
email is an attempt to obtain debit card information from their customers for fraudulent use.
