SUBJECT:
Sutter County Deputies Nab Burglary Suspects
TEXT:
Deputies responded to the 900 block of Oswald Road in Yuba City regarding a
theft from a vehicle. While on scene deputies were contacted by a second victim
reporting a burglary to a nearby shop. The investigation ultimately led the
deputies to a warehouse at 1000 Oswald Road, Yuba City. Deputies made contact
with two subjects at that location. One subject was seen moving property in an
attempt to conceal it. Deputies were able to identify the property as being
reported stolen from a warehouse in the 900 block of Oswald Road.
A search warrant was served at 1000 Oswald Road resulting in the recovery of
approximately $3,500 of equipment stolen from a warehouse from the 900 block
of Oswald Road. Additionally, music discs, a car stereo and personal papers
reported stolen in the original theft of property from a vehicle were also
recovered.
Detectives assisted the deputies and were able to develop further leads that
led to the service of another search warrant at 143 Palora Avenue, Yuba City
where approximately 3 oz. of suspected marijuana was discovered.
The investigation also led to the discovery of credit cards reported stolen
to the Sheriff's Department in early May 2008 from the 300 block of Harding
Road, Yuba City.
The investigation led to the arrest of Henry Brian Gonzales, HMA, 30 years
old, of Yuba City, who was booked on charges of burglary, possession of stolen
property, conspiracy, possession of controlled substance, drug paraphernalia,
possession of marijuana, and theft of lost property. A second suspect,
Wayne Mitchell Gonzalez, HMA, 50 years old, of Yuba City, was booked on
charges of burglary, possession of stolen property, and conspiracy.
Both subjects are related.
The Sutter County Sheriff's Department is reminding citizens to secure your
belongings whenever possible and report suspicious activity to law enforcement.
