SUSPICIOUS DEATH

At approximately 8:19 AM on Wednesday, November 22, 2006, Sheriff’s deputies were called to investigate a reported body in the water at the Wadsworth canal area north of Buttehouse Road.   Sheriff’s deputies arrived and confirmed that an apparent human body was in fact in the water, lodged in one of the spillway gates of the canal system.  Sheriff’s investigators have contacted water district personnel and water recovery units in an attempt to recover the body.  No further information is available at this time.
