FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Friday, June 3, 2005 SUBJECT: Sheriff’s Deputies arrest subject for Stolen Vehicle, Receiving stolen property, possession of controlled substance, burglary, resisting arrest. TEXT: On 6-1-05 at approximately 1950hrs, several concerned citizens contacted this Department to report a suspicious parked vehicle with the license number in the vicinity of the 1700 block of Hooper Road. The citizens also provided a description of the male driver who at this time was seen leaving the scene on a bicycle. Dispatch confirmed the vehicle was stolen the previous night from the Tierra Buena area. While the deputies were conducting the recovery of the vehicle, the mentioned suspect was seen riding the bicycle on Hooper Road. He was ordered to stop, however, he fled on the bicycle but was apprehended a short distance. The arrested person was identified as Jones, Elliott Thomas, 20yrs of age, transient.
