Conduct Alcohol Sting

Sutter County Sheriff’s Deputies
aided by underage Sheriff’s Cadets conducted a series of alcohol
stings in Sutter County. The purpose of the sting operation was to
confirm the compliance of off-sale and on-sale liquor regulations by
merchants in the area. A total of nineteen sites were checked
during the operation. One arrest was made at an on-sale
establishment which resulted in the bartender being charged with
sales of alcohol to a minor. The bartender at the Nicolaus Tavern,
979 Nicolaus Avenue, Nicolaus, was identified as Mary Elizabeth
Dekeyrel, 46, of Nicolaus. She was released on citation.
Operations conducted at two off-sale
establishments resulted in the arrests of two clerks for sales of
alcohol to a minor. They were identified as Monica Ann Rudolph,
30, of Marysville. She was arrested at the AM/PM Market, 1332
Bogue Road, Yuba City. She was released on citation. The second
clerk arrested was identified as Sheri Rene Pruitt, 21, of
Live Oak. She was arrested at the More-4-Less Store, 10020 Highway
99, Live Oak. She was released on citation.
The
Sutter County Sheriff’s Department will continue to conduct alcohol
related operations and to offer education for merchants and the
public regarding alcohol regulations. These combined enforcement
and educational efforts are intended to reduce the availability of
alcohol to minors.
