Sutter Sheriff’s Deputies conduct
Alcohol Shoulder Tap Program
TEXT:
Sutter County Sheriff’s Deputies aided
by underage Sheriff’s Cadets participated in a shoulder tap alcohol
buy program which resulted in the arrest of three individuals.
Sheriff’s Deputies arrested two males in separate incidences, after
they were approached by underage Sheriff’s Cadets and agreed to
purchase alcohol for them. These incidents occurred outside of the
Quick Stop Market, 1620 Lincoln Road, Yuba City. The males were
identified as:

Stevie Ray Thomas Jr., 25, Yuba
City, arrested on a
charge of sale/furnishing alcohol to a minor and a parole
violation. Thomas was booked into the Sutter County Jail.

Thomas Gene Trent, 44, Biggs,
was cited and released on a
citation charging him with sale/furnishing alcohol to a minor.
The third incident occurred outside of
the AM/PM Market, 1332 Bogue Road, Yuba City. The person arrested was
identified as:

Ryan Thomas Rodello, 24, Yuba City,
was cited and released on
a citation charging him with sale/furnishing alcohol to a minor and
possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.
There were numerous other patrons
solicited during the shoulder tap operation but they refused to
purchase alcohol for the underage cadets. The shoulder tap program
is part of an on-going effort by the Sutter County Sheriff’s
Department to reduce availability of alcohol to minors in our
community.
