Sutter County Sheriff’s Department
conducts Tobacco Sting
Sutter
County Sheriff’s Deputies assisted by underage Sheriff’s Cadets
conducted a tobacco decoy operation at seventeen businesses in Sutter
County. The sting operation led to the arrest of two clerks on
charges of selling tobacco products to a minor. The were identified
as: Barbara Ann Alvarado, 57, of Live Oak, a clerk at King’s
Market, 10153 Live Oak Boulevard, Live Oak. The second arrest was
Gurjit Singh, 22, of Live Oak, a clerk at Petro Star Food Mart,
9545 Live Oak Boulevard, Live Oak. Both were cited and released.
The
other fifteen businesses and their clerks should be commended for
refusing to sell tobacco products to minors. Those businesses were
identified as:
Bootlegger Discount Liquor, and Video, 9915 Live Oak Boulevard, Live
Oak
