Sutter County Sheriff’s Department
conducts Alcohol Sting
Sutter County Sheriff’s Deputies, assisted by underage
Sheriff's Cadets conducted a series of decoy operations in which
Sheriff's Cadets attempted to purchase alcohol from both on-sale and
off-sale establishments within Sutter County.
The operation resulted in the arrests of two adults on
charges of sale/furnishing a minor with alcohol. The adults were
identified as: Nakeya Lee Shetrawski, 25, of Yuba City, a
clerk at the AM/PM-1332 Bogue Road, Yuba City. The second adult was
identified as Michael Lee Cramer, 36, of Sutter, a bartender
for Zodiac Bar and Grill, 1939 Acacia Avenue, Sutter.
Five
additional establishments were also contacted during the operation,
where the clerk(s) refused to sell alcohol to the cadet. These local
businesses should be commended for their adherence to the law. The
Sutter County Sheriff’s Department continues in its efforts to take to
task those that would provide alcohol to minors. The Sheriff’s
Department is committed to the goal of eliminating alcohol being
provided to minors through both enforcement actions such as the decoy
stings and shoulder tap programs, as well as through education of
business owners and their staff when requested. If business owners
are interested in any training or information concerning on/off sales
of alcohol, they can contact Captain Paul Parker at (530) 822-7307.
