Sutter County Sheriff’s Deputies
Conduct Alcohol Decoy Operations

Sheriff’s
Deputies with the assistance of underage Sheriff’s Cadets conducted
both shoulder tap and decoy operations at several Sutter County
off-sale liquor establishments. A total of twelve businesses were
approached, with ten of those businesses refusing to sell alcohol to
the minor(s). The following two arrests were made as a result of the
alcohol investigations:
A clerk at Munger’s Market, 7803 South Butte Road, Sutter was arrested
and charged with sale/furnishing alcohol to a minor. The clerk was
identified as Cooper, Margaret May 43, of Sutter.
A shoulder tap investigation at
the Quick Stop Market, 1620 Lincoln Road, Yuba City resulted in the
arrest of Sanderson, Carroll Marc 37, of Yuba City, on a charge
of sales/furnishing alcohol to a minor(s). Sanderson was approached
in front of the store by an underage Sheriff’s Cadet and agreed to
provide them with alcohol.
The Sutter County Sheriff’s Department
attempted similar investigations at the following businesses but were
refused service by the clerks and/or patrons at the store. Those
businesses were identified as:
1) Neighborhood Store, 4313 South George Washington Blvd, Yuba City
2) Robbins Mercantile, 4895 Del Monte Avenue, Robbins
3) Global Market, 11277 Highway 99, Live Oak
4) Dhami’s Mini Mart, 1281 O’Banion Road, Yuba City
5) Quick Stop, 1285 Lincoln Road, Yuba City
6) Tim’s Market, 1619 Lincoln Road, Yuba City
7) Mike’s Mini Market, 1591 Franklin Road, Yuba City
8) Bill’s Market and Deli, 1443 Franklin Road, Yuba City
9) Oswald Market, 1144 Oswald Road, Yuba City
10) Lincoln Market, 1197 Lincoln Road, Yuba City
