Conduct Tobacco Sting

Sutter County Sheriff’s Deputies
recently conducted a tobacco sting at sixteen Sutter County
businesses. During the operation, underage Sheriff’s Cadets went into
the businesses and attempted to purchase tobacco products in violation
of state law. The operation was deemed successful based on the
information that only three businesses sold the products to the
cadets. The clerks and businesses were identified as:

Santhida Bartlemay,
27, of Sutter at Munger’s Market,
7803 South Butte Road, Sutter, on a charge of sales of tobacco to a
minor.

Said Abussarour,
41, of Yuba City at Mike’s Market,
1591 Franklin Road, Yuba City, on a charge of sales of tobacco to a
minor.

Balwinder Sidhu,
22, of Yuba City at AM/PM Mini Mart,
1332 Bogue Road, Yuba City, on a charge of sales of tobacco to a
minor.
Thirteen clerks at other
establishments refused to sell tobacco products to the undercover
cadets and should be commended for complying with the law. Those
businesses were identified as:
