FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Tuesday, August 19, 2003 SUBJECT: BOATING SOBRIETY CHECKPOINT TEXT: The Sutter County Sheriff’s Department will conduct a Boating Under the Influence (BUI) Checkpoint Sunday, August 31, 2003 between the hours of 12:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. The checkpoint will be in the unincorporated river areas south of the confluence of the Bear and Feather Rivers. In addition to Drunk Driving Enforcement, Sheriff’s Deputies will be conducting a safety inspection.
