Attempted Murder/Carjacking Suspect

Sutter County Sheriff’s Detectives
have identified a suspect believed responsible for the attempted
murder and carjacking of a vehicle of a Live Oak man on November 22,
2003. The investigation has developed information that identified
Brian Lee Baldwin, 20 years of age, WMA, 6-1, 170, with short
brown hair and brown eyes, as the suspect.
Baldwin is a Live Oak resident and is
known to frequent the area on foot. He may also have access to a
green compact vehicle, no further description or a grey Honda sedan,
no further description. He was last seen leaving a residence on foot
in the Oregon Gulch area of Oroville, on the afternoon of November 24,
2003. Baldwin was last seen wearing blue jeans and an unknown color
sweatshirt.
Baldwin should be considered
Armed and Dangerous. A shotgun was used in the Live Oak
incident and has not been recovered at this time. The victim’s 2000
Toyota Tundra pick-up truck, maroon in color, with matching camper
shell, CA license 6J56800 is still outstanding.
Anyone with information on Baldwin’s
whereabouts or the missing 2000 Toyota is asked to telephone the
Sutter County Sheriff’s Department at (530) 822-7307, or your local
law enforcement agency.
