For immediate release Tuesday, March 04, 2003, 0945 hours Contact person Jim Denney, Sheriff-Coroner, (530) 822-7312 Subject Homicide Victim is identified Text The Sutter County Sheriff’s Department has identified the male homicide victim that was found in the south Sutter County area, near the intersection of Powerline Road and Sankey Road, on Sunday (March 2, 2003) at 1:55 PM. The victim is identified as Jorge Ramires Flores, AKA: Jose Ramires Flores, age 30, of Sacramento. Flores is the owner of JR’s Furniture Store at 2541 Del Paso Boulevard in Sacramento. He reportedly resided at the business as well. An autopsy conducted yesterday in Yuba City determined that the victim suffered blunt force trauma to the head. Additional tests including toxicology are pending and may take several weeks to complete before a final determination of death is made. Sheriff’s investigators are handling the investigation into this homicide and anyone with information concerning this case, including the victim’s identity, is asked to contact the Sutter County Sheriff’s Department at (530) 822-7307. - End Text - |
