Tuesday, May 21, 2002, 2:00P.M. SUBJECT: Sutter County Sheriff's Deputies take Second Place in Police Memorial Pistol Match TEXT: Four Sutter County Sheriff's Deputies recently competed in a pistol match against other law enforcement agencies and earned second place. Beale Air Force Base sponsored the match to promote recognition of National Police Memorial Week. The event pitted members of the US military and local law enforcement in several scenarios containing shoot/don't shoot options. The Sutter County team was comprised of Sergeant Dave McFarland and Deputies Bruce Ramos, Tom Tate and Dan Buttler. In all, twelve teams competed in the event including a team from Nevada County Sheriff's Department and the US Army.
