Under the plush, bright orange Ready Fox costume is Janice Grant, a public safety dispatch supervisor, who attends
events such as parades and National Night Out to present programs to younger school age children on the correct use
of 911. She is usually assisted by at least one other member of the dispatch center staff and often a sheriff’s cadet.
Ready Fox is popular with the children and provides a great opportunity for interaction with them and for teaching about proper use
of 911 and other safety topics.
